Dir: Véréna Parave, Lucien Castaing-Taylor

The Japanese cannibal Issei Sagawa was imprisoned in Paris in 1981 for killing and partially eating a female fellow student. He was extradited to Japan and released due to a technical error, after which he started a career as a sushi critic, TV star, porn actor and manga illustrator. Today, he is paralysed in a wheelchair, with his jealous brother looking after him. A grotesque story, which the innovative directing duo Véréna Paravel and Lucien Castaing-Taylor slowly and with an almost phenomenological no-compromise approach dig deep into.
